About the educational centre:
The Production School, which is a totally renovated farm is located in the old part of Avedøre Landsby (village, red.) with rural and rustic surroundings.
There is a school guide employed, who will help you with your practice course, job-searching plus study and business counseling.
We offer opportunities for individual lessons in Danish, math, english and Natural Science, as well as all-round guidance in our Study centre.
The Production School in Hvidovre offers educational courses based upon practical work and production. The offer is given to youngsters under the age of 25 who haven’t gone through a juvenile education and on the face of it, either don’t have the premises to commence such an education or simply interrupted their educational course. The tuition offer is not formally competence giving. Before starting you need an approval from your local UU-guide centre.
The teaching course is both practical and theoretical, but takes its starting point in practical work and production. The stay will give you better preconditions to attend an education or getting a job.
If there’s room, you can start when you feel like it and quit when it fits in with your schedule.
While you are here you can choose to be on different workshops. You don’t need an ability to do something special to start at a workshop. The most important thing is that you are eager to learn something new and enjoy the company of other young people.
During your stay at the Production School you have the opportunity to get into business practice up to a total amount of four weeks pr. every half year. You will find the place of your practice together with a school guide or your teacher. You also get school benefits while in practice.
We also have school activities. Among these are sports, painting or even lectures about subjects where you also have an influence on the choosing of these. We once in a while take an out-of-house trip, for instance by going to the movies, the theatre, and fishing or to an exciting exhibition.
